Seminar on Psyche, Symbol and Place
Dimora Casanoja, the site of our seminar, is located just 1,2 km outside the historic center of the small town of Noci (inside the black circle on the map).
Guests’ overnight accomodations during the seminar will be divided between the grounds of Dimora Casanoja, which has a limited number of elegantly remodeled double, triple, and quadruple occupancy ancient trulli and stone houses, and other beautiful trulli houses and historical palaces located nearby. All transportation during the seminar will be coordinated by the organizers and is included in the seminar price.
The cost of arrival and departure travel is not included in the seminar price, but we will gladly assist you in organizing conveniently priced shuttle transfers from both airports as well as from Bari Centrale and Noci train stations on the first and last day of the program. More details on these shuttles will be available as we get closer to the date of the seminar.
We are also available to provide information and assistance for those who wish to arrive earlier, or to prolong their stay. If you have any questions please contact Grazia Di Giorgio at email@example.com
Airports near Noci:
Bari airport is connected by bus, train, rental car, or taxi, while from Brindisi airport you have the choice of using bus, rental car, or taxi (no train) and you can find more information on each of these choices on the airports’ websites (see the links above). There are typically more international flights available to and from Bari, which is a larger airport, but occasionally it is possible to find cheaper fares flying into Brindisi.
That being said, here is some more detailed information on how to arrive in Noci if you decide to come on your own:
Traveling by car:
A regular taxi ride from either Bari or Brindisi airports to Dimora Casanoja costs about 100 euro.
For those who plan to be driving their own or a rented car, here is the position of Dimora Casanoja on Google maps.
Traveling by public transportation from Bari:
The Noci train station is located on the Bari–Martina Franca–Taranto railway. The train services are operated by Ferrovie del Sud Est. Tickets can be bought online and their price varies depending on time, date, class, and availability but it is generally around 5 euro.
If coming directly from Bari airport you can take a light rail train or a taxi to Bari’s central station (a distance of about 15km or 9.5miles) and then get on a Ferrovie del Sud Est train to Noci.
The train ride from Bari airport to Bari central station costs 5 euro and lasts about 20 minutes. Tickets can be bought online at https://www.aeroportidipuglia.it/bari/treni
The taxi ride from Bari airport to Bari central station has a fixed fare of 23 euro. Cabs can be reserved in advance either online or by calling the Radio Taxi service at +39 080-5543333 or +39 080-5346666.
Traveling from Brindisi:
As we mentioned earlier, the airport in Brindisi is not connected by railway: from there you can travel using either a rental car, a taxi, or a bus.
[We’ll be happy to provide you detailed information about traveling from there to Noci using public transportation if you want, but would advise against it because it is a complicated trip involving changing from a bus (from Brindisi airport to Brindisi Station) to train (from Brindisi Station to Monopoli station) to bus again (from Monopoli to Noci), and lasting about three hours or more.]
