SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3:

MORNING arrivals, transfers to Dimora Casanoja,  check-in

NOON- Welcome, social; open buffet luncheon of local foods and specialties.

OPENING CIRCLE (once everyone is gathered)

AFTERNOON Lecture by Giancarlo Magno, Italian Analyst – “Jung, Alchemy and the  Apulian Land: Different Alchemies in Context” – followed by questions and answers  (in Italian with translator)

EVENING Welcome dinner around the fire at Dimora Casanoja with typical Murgia dishes cooked in terracotta pots on a wooden fire

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4:

EARLY MORNING meditation/active imagination (depending on the weather, outside or inside). Breakfast before or after this activity, as participants desire.

MORNING PRESENTATION: Lara Newton – “Alchemy: The Wisdom of Maria Prophetissa”

LUNCH buffet at Dimora Casanoja (not included in the budget – upon reservation)** and free time

AFTERNOON PRESENTATION: Lara Newton – “On Matter & Spirit”

EVENING Excursion (with picnic-style dinner) in the Monopoli area at the archeological site of the rock churches, ancient post station along the Roman “Via  Traiana”, which was traveled by pilgrims, merchants and soldiers.*

MONDAY, OCTOBER 5:

EARLY MORNING BREAKFAST (at your hotels) Followed by:

DAY TRIP TO MATERA, “la città dei sassi” (the stone city) UNESCO world heritage site (sack lunch included). (Discussion with Grazia as time permits, either prior, during or after the excursion.)

EVENING DINNER in a restaurant in the historic center of Noci village Cena in   ristorante (not included in the budget – upon reservation)**

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6:

EARLY MORNING meditation/active imagination (depending on the weather, outside or inside). Breakfast before or after this activity, as participants desire.

MORNING PRESENTATION: Charles Zeltzer – “Introductory Remarks: Alchemy, the Chakras and the Indian Psyche”

LUNCH Buffet (not included in the budget – upon reservation)** and free time.

AFTERNOON PRESENTATION: Charles Zeltzer – “The 4th Chakra as the Central  Experience”

EVENING DINNER & Culinary Experience at Dimora Casanoja: demonstration of cheesemaking (preparation of mozzarella, ricotta, etc.), and making typical pizzas, followed by open tasting (depending on the weather, if we were not able to do the   evening excursion on Sunday evening we could move it to this evening)

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7:

EARLY MORNING meditation/active imagination (depending on the weather, outside or inside). Breakfast before or after this activity, as participants desire.

MORNING PRESENTATION: Charles Zeltzer – “Beyond the 4th Chakra”

LUNCH BUFFET at Dimora Casanoja (not included in the budget – upon reservation)** and free time.

AFTERNOON PRESENTATION: Charles Zeltzer – “Brush With Death”

FREE TIME

DINNER in a local masseria (elegantly restored ancient farmhouse) (not included in    the budget – upon reservation)**

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8:

BREAKFAST and EARLY MORNING meditation/active imagination

EXCURSION and PRESENTATION with Lara Newton – “Spirit in Earth” –  with packed lunch, in the Gravina della Madonna della Scala and the cave of the Wizard Greguro, an alchemist who lived in the year 1000 CE. Note: This excursion is on uneven terrain, guided by speleologists, and it requires climbing some stairs and a steep 16-foot stepladder  (as an alternative, we can organize a group visit to the famous Caves of Castellana, which are a very easy walk and quite stunning too).

EVENING CLOSING DINNER around the fire at Dimora Casanoja (with typicalMurgia dishes)

[EVENING REFLECTION on the week, perhaps with one final tale of the region.]

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9:

BREAKFAST followed by a CLOSING CIRCLE at Dimora Casanoja, including discussion with all presenters.

Goodbyes and Airport transfers

Additional information:

~All programming is in English, with the exception of the initial lecture on Saturday,   which is presented in Italian with a translator.

~In case of unfavorable weather conditions, illness, or any other extraordinary event, there may be some slight variations in the program.

~There will be fruit, pastry, coffee, juices etc., available throughout the day, every day,at the Dimora.

~All lunches will be on site, except when sack lunches for excursions.

*(Alternative, in case of bad weather, cooking experience #1, making pasta, followed by dinner.)
